After the Trojan War, Odysseus, king of Ithaca, makes his way home across seas haunted by monsters and gods, while his wife Penelope holds off the crowd of suitors who covet his throne. This is how Christopher Nolan retells Homer's epic in “The Odyssey”, the first feature film shot entirely on IMAX 70 mm cameras.
Nolan wrote and directed the film, with Matt Damon as Odysseus alongside Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o and Charlize Theron. It was released in cinemas on 17 July 2026.
In December, Booktino publishes the Arabic translation of the film's complete screenplay, translated by Hossam Hilali.
