Booktino has acquired the Arabic translation rights to “The Odyssey: The Complete Screenplay” by writer-director Christopher Nolan, published in English by Faber & Faber. The Arabic edition, translated by Hossam Hilali, will be published in December 2026.
The book contains the complete screenplay of “The Odyssey”, which Nolan wrote and directed from Homer's epic, released in cinemas on 17 July 2026. Nolan describes the film as a mythic epic, shot with new IMAX film technology.
A screenplay lets readers see a film from the inside: its dramatic structure, its dialogue, and its scenes as they were written before they became images. The book is part of Booktino's interest in the meeting of literature and cinema, alongside the translations of “A Month in the Country” and “Firefly Lane”, also out in December.
